About

Hi, I'm Kenton

I’m a human with ADHD who holds the title of therapist and career counsellor. I also hold titles as a Cat Dad and Anime Lover/Otaku :3!

I help people pleasers and ADHDers reconnect with who they are beneath the roles they’ve been performing so you can stop surviving your life and start actually living it, because I’ve been there too.

I know what it feels like to not quite fit.

I’m a racialized, queer, neurodivergent person born to immigrants and raised in Canada. I’ve navigated the quiet exhaustion of code-switching and masking, the disorientation of not having a name for the way your brain works, and the particular loneliness of showing up in spaces that weren’t designed with you in mind.

On the outside, I looked like I had it together: a decade in corporate environments, building teams, hitting targets, running businesses. On the inside, I was still figuring out who I actually was underneath all of it.

Therapy changed that for me. And it’s why I do this work.

My approach is relational, real, and built around you.

I start by getting to know who you are, the many experiences, identities, and systems that have shaped you. I’m not interested in fitting you into a framework. I’m interested in understanding you, and building something collaborative from there.

My work is trauma-informed and grounded in the belief that you are the expert of your own life. Together, we’ll explore how your thoughts, emotions, patterns, and body are connected, and gently begin to shift what’s no longer serving you. There’s always room for reflection, humour, grief, and joy in the work we do together.

I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and somatic and motivational approaches, woven together based on what you need, not a one-size-fits-all formula.

A little about me beyond the therapy room.

I’m a forever student, and my community will confirm it. When I’m not in session, you’ll find me cooking new recipes while podcasts play in the background, tending to my house plants, being bossed around by my cat, watching anime or taking on whatever project I have convinced myself I can finish in a weekend. I’m passionate about community care, mutual aid, and creating spaces where people can show up fully and without apology. That’s why I created KD Counselling.

PSYCHOTHERAPY AND CAREER COUNSELLING FOR

ADHD/AuDHD, Anxiety, People Pleasing, Perfectionism, and Career/Life Transitions

Our Story

After years as a community career counsellor, KD Counselling founder Kenton Domize kept seeing the same pattern — clients who needed more than a polished resume. They were lost, disconnected from their values, and unsure if their career still fit who they were becoming.

Recognizing that career counselling and psychotherapy were treating the same struggles from opposite sides of the room, Kenton built KD Counselling to bring them together, creating a space where teens and adults could explore not just what they do, but who they are.

Since opening, KD Counselling has become a trusted home for those navigating ADHD/AuDHD, Anxiety, People Pleasing, Perfectionism and career/life’s most challenging transitions. Our approach blends compassionate care with evidence-informed strategies, empowering clients to move forward with clarity and confidence. Beyond one-on-one support, our community workshops extend that mission, making psychoeducation accessible and building a network where no one has to figure things out alone.

Our Purpose

KD Counselling exists because the people who need support most — those caught in perfectionism, people-pleasing, anxiety, and career uncertainty — are often the last to ask for it. The practice was built to meet them there: offering psychotherapy that addresses the whole person, with career counselling woven in where life and work intersect.

Guided by our values: Clarity, Connection, Growth

We believe in fostering an environment of clarity, connection, and growth. At KD Counselling, we are dedicated to supporting the whole individual, promoting resilience, and aligning services with the unique values of each client for meaningful and lasting change.
